Updating DN9680’s to Work With The Midas HD96

In order to use the DN9680 with the Midas HD96 system, it MUST be updated to the latest version (currently 0.0.8 – found here – www.cloud.midasconsoles.com )

Note: Once upgraded to HD96 firmware, the DN9680 is no longer compatible with original Midas Pro Series consoles.

DN9680’s MUST be upgraded to version 1.5.1 BEFORE upgrading to 0.0.8

Update procedure  – from version 1.5.0 to 1.5.1

1. download the version 1.5.1 firmware from the Klark Teknik website  – available here
2. connect a laptop or PC to the DN9680’s ethernet control port
3. set the static IP of your computer 192.168.20.3
4. set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0
5. open any web browser and navigate to 192.168.80.1
6. in the bottom left hand corner of the browser window select “upgrade”
7. click on browse
8. navigate to the extracted zip file downloaded above and select dn9680-1.5.1.build4.tar
9. click on update
10. wait until the unit is fully updated and power cycled

Update procedure  – from version 1.5.1 to HD 0.0.8

1. download the version 0.0.8 firmware from the midas mcloud website  – available here – note: an mCloud account is required to access this file
2. connect a laptop or PC to the DN9680’s ethernet control port
3. set the static IP of your computer 192.168.20.3
4. set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0
5. open any web browser and navigate to 192.168.80.1
6. in the bottom left hand corner of the browser window select “upgrade”
7. click on browse
8. navigate to the extracted zip file downloaded above and select dn9680-0.0.8+dn9680-hd96.sha.8ccdba0.build1.tar
9. click on update
10. wait until the unit is fully updated and power cycled
